Inheritance Legal Services in Khon Kaen

Maha Advocates offers three focused services covering the main situations where legal guidance makes a practical difference to an estate matter.

How We Work

Our Approach

Each case at Maha Advocates begins with listening. Before we advise, we spend time understanding the situation fully — the composition of the estate, the family relationships involved, the documents available, and what the client is hoping to achieve or clarify.

From there, the appropriate service is determined together. We do not push clients toward more complex or costly engagements than the situation requires. The three services — assessment, executor guidance, and proceedings representation — correspond to the three main points at which legal support adds genuine value.

Throughout any engagement, updates are provided at meaningful stages and documents are prepared with care. At the end of each service, a written summary is provided. This is standard across all three services, not an optional extra.

1

Initial discussion

We listen to the situation and identify what kind of support would be useful

2

Service agreement

We agree on the applicable service, scope, and fixed fee before anything begins

3

Careful engagement

We carry out the work with regular updates and attention to accuracy

4

Written summary

A clear written record of findings, guidance, or proceeding outcomes is provided

Inheritance Position Assessment

Service 01

Inheritance Position Assessment

฿4,700 — fixed fee

A structured review of an heir's or family's standing under Thai inheritance law. This service is designed for anyone who has recently learned of a death and is uncertain about their legal position, their entitlements, or what the estate process involves.

The assessment concludes with a plain-language written summary covering the heir's legal position, any obligations that apply, and a clear outline of the likely process ahead. This gives the client a solid foundation — either to proceed independently or to make an informed decision about further legal support.

What's included

Review of available documents and estate circumstances
Explanation of entitlements and obligations under Thai law
Outline of the process specific to the situation
Written summary of findings and next steps

Typical duration: 1–2 weeks from initial consultation

Service 02

Executor Guidance Service

฿10,000 — fixed fee

Being appointed executor of an estate carries real responsibilities — and in Thailand, those responsibilities involve specific procedures with courts, land offices, and financial institutions. This service provides practical, steady support through those duties.

We prepare and review the required documents, guide the executor on the steps involved in each stage, and liaise with the relevant authorities on the executor's behalf. Regular updates are provided, and the aim throughout is to lighten the administrative and legal load during what is often an already demanding period.

What's included

Guidance through executor duties at each stage
Preparation and review of estate documents
Liaison with courts, land offices, and financial institutions
Regular, considered updates throughout

Typical duration: 2–4 months depending on estate complexity

Service 03

Estate Proceedings Representation

฿17,200 — fixed fee

When an estate matter cannot be resolved administratively and formal proceedings become necessary, this service provides careful representation through that process — from strategy and preparation through to advocacy.

Formal proceedings in inheritance matters often involve family relationships that will continue long after the legal process concludes. Our approach keeps this in view. We set honest expectations at the outset, keep clients fully informed throughout, and pursue a measured resolution that protects their interests while remaining sensitive to the wider situation.

What's included

Case strategy development and preparation
Court documentation and procedural filings
Representation and advocacy in proceedings
Honest expectation-setting throughout

Typical duration: 3–8 months depending on proceedings

Our Standards

What Applies Across All Services

Strict Confidentiality

All case information is handled with full confidentiality. No client matter or family detail is shared outside the firm.

Licensed Practitioners

All legal work is carried out by lawyers registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Legal Profession Act B.E. 2528.

Written Documentation

Every service concludes with a plain-language written summary. This is standard, not optional, across all three services.

No Conflicts of Interest

We do not represent opposing parties in the same matter. Before accepting any case, a conflict check is conducted.

Regular Updates

Clients are informed at meaningful points throughout any engagement. We do not go silent between stages.

Honest Expectations

We are straightforward about timelines, likely outcomes, and any uncertainties. We do not overstate what can be achieved.

Not Sure Where to Begin?

An initial discussion is always without obligation. We will listen to your situation and explain which of our services — if any — would be appropriate.
